How many devices can the AM3874 data lines be connected to?

Hi,

I am curious to know whether how many devices can the AM3874 data lines connected to?

I saw that on the evaluation board, the data lines of the CPU is connected to only 2 devices which is the NOR and NAND flash.

If I need to connect to more than 2 devices, what is the recommendations?

    Hi Poh,

    The AM387x GPMC has 512MB maximum address capability divided among up to 8 chip select signals CS[7:0]. Thus GPMC is able to connect up to 8 devices, for each CS signal.

    Note also that on the DM814x/AM387x Mistral EVM, two devices are connected on one chip select- GPMC_nCS0 to NAND and NOR flash. But this is released with DIP switch (SW2.1), where NAND and NOR are mutually exclusive. When SW2.1 is ON, NAND is active, when OFF, NOR is active.
