REG Performing NAND INIT twice

Hi,

I have a doubt regarding Performing NAND INIT twice. this happened because i had written a code which does init of Nand, i.e pinmux, gpmcclkconfig, and those stuffs. but it was already performed by nandlib's.

so having two nand init's would damage my NAND?

Hi Shradhanand,

Initialization of NAND in nandlib does the PinMux, GPMC initialization like setting timing values corresponding to your NAND, setting the device type, Chip select configuration etc.

These configurations happen at the GPMC register level and does not concern with the actual NAND device.
The device is accessed when you perform a Page Read,Write Erase operations. So calling init twice
should not damage your NAND device.
