Hi,

I want high speed as well real time scenario on my kit for SPI. i wanted to use FIQ for DMA for SPI interrupt and other protocols as well. But i heard its not suitable as such?

Is there any problem if i use FIQ for DMA for my ISR's.

FIQ is not supported in general purpose devices - AM335x falls under this category. So you need to set the priority with in IRQ to make sure SPI interrupt get the desired priority.

ARM supports FIQ only for secure mode.

Hi Baskaran,

Thanks for the quick reply. Could you please let me know other device examples apart from general purpose devices and what all can be supported (i means peripherels or purposes of secure mode) for secure mode wherein i can use FIQ's?
