Hi, our company is looking for a processor that can support 3 regular Ethernet ports. IT's AM3359 already supports two such ports. We need one more. It will be perfect if the industrial Ethernet can also be used as a regular port. I know this is possible technically, but that will require some support from TI's side. My question is, does TI has a plan to do this? If yes, when?
If no, we will need to add the third port. Is there a a reference design that we can use? We are not experienced in such design. The method we can think of is to add a MAC controller with USB interface or SPI interface. Is there a better solution?
The Pin mux will not be a problem since our product will be a pure communication gateway, no I/O pins will be needed.
