HUA Network Benchmark test -DSPC8681 PCIe card

Hi

Referring to the TI HUA Wiki page:

  http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/MCSDK_HUA_Demonstration_Guide

we have the following questions:

1) Can we run HUA loopback task with UDP packets and use iperf on a WinXP test machine? if so, should we run one instance of iperf, in client mode?

2) If that's not possible, can we run the Transmit test and use iperf on the WinXP machine to listen to UDP packets?

Currently we just need to measure functionality and not throughput. We are using the DSPC8681 PCIe card and it's taken a long time (4 weeks) to get the HUA project  patched and rebuilt  for this card and to the point of running - so for now, just seeing UDP packet flow would be a big step.

  • The way you can run:

Run HUA on core 0, in the CIO console window, the board should print IP address information (for eg: Network Added: If-1:192.168.2.100)

Open a web browser in the PC connected to the HUB or the board.

Enter the IP address of the board, it should open up the HUA demo web page.

Please follow the instructions in the web page to run the demo (you can select TCP/UDP, TX or RX, data size up to 90MB).

    Regards, Eric
