NOR+DDR POP for OMAP3530

Hello,

For our application we like to use POP memory package which contains NOR flash and DDR2 memory. The motivation for using NOR instead of NAND is to achieve sub 3 sec boot time.

 

Anyone is aware of such package available today?

    I have not come across any PoP memory that has true NOR in it, though the Samsung offerings have OneNAND which is NAND that acts more like NOR from an interface perspective, though I am not sure this would help in your situation as the parts are as widely available as alternative flash memories. Your best bet would probably be to use an external NOR device. Note that using a NOR device means you would have very limited space without using lots of GPIO based paging, as there are limited address pins for such asynchronous memory on the OMAP3.
