Verify larger contiguous memory allocation (Linux Desktop SDK)

Hello all:

I am using the Desktop Linux SDK 1.0.0.7, and I want to set-up a large (2000MB) pre-reserved contiguous memory allocation.

Once I've followed the instructions on the Wiki to reserve this larger memory space (use install_grub.sh), I reboot my computer as instructed.

After my computer reboots, how can I now verify the amount of memory I just reserved?

Hi Chris, I personally have never verified it, however, if the filetest demo works OK you should have had the correct CMEM allocation. In summary if you see below error, then something is not correctly set and you will need to check FAQ for further details (http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php?title=Desktop-linux-sdk_01.00.00_FAQ)

ERROR: DMA MEM Device "/dev/cmem" could not opened
ERROR: dma mem driver open failed
