TSC2007 Query on ti814x

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TSC2007

Hi

I have customised board based on ti814x.

I have TSC2007 resistive touch IC. which communicates through I2C.

Thus i have ported the driver in kernel which is attached below.

@board side : arch/arm/mach-omap2/board-ti8148evm.c

static struct tsc2007_platform_data tsc2007_info = {
        .model                  = 2007,
        .x_plate_ohms           = 180,
};

static struct i2c_board_info __initdata ti814x_i2c_boardinfo[] = {

        {
                I2C_BOARD_INFO("tsc2007", 0x48),
                .type           = "tsc2007",
                .platform_data  = &tsc2007_info,
        },
};

static void __init ti814x_tsc2007_init(void)
{
  int error;
       printk("TSC2007 pin mux\n");
       omap_mux_init_signal("gpmc_a19.gpio1_14_mux0",TI814X_PIN_INPUT_PULL_DIS);
       error = gpio_request(46, "tsc2007_irq");
       printk("TSC2007 configuring\n");

        if (error < 0)
        {
                printk(KERN_ERR "%s: failed to request GPIO for TSC IRQ"": %d\n", __func__, error);
                 return;
         }

        gpio_direction_input(46);
};

NOTE: gpmc_a19.gpio1_14_mux0 is the GPIO which is confugured to interrupt.

But when i power up my board.i get continuous interrupt without touching the touchpanel.

Hence on cat /proc/interrupts the interrupt counter value will be changed rapidly. by which am not even able to calibrate the tool. But i device node is also created.

Kindly reply on This ASAp.

Driver code which i ported is attached below.

Regards

Rohit

  • Hi Rohit,

    Are you using EZSDK5.05.02.00? Do you connect the TSC2007 to I2C0 of DM8148 device?

    Do you enable the TSC2007 support in the TI8148 linux kernel? Note that TSC2007 driver support is disabled in the ti-ezsdk_dm814x-evm_5_05_02_00/board-support/linux-2.6.37-psp04.04.00.01/arch/arm/configs/ti8148_evm_defconfig file:
