Hello all,

i am using TMS320c6416 board along with CCS v3.1 to connect two C6416 DSK wirelessly using LEDs. so far, i've got to a point where i can insert voice signal vie the MIC jack and then hear it back vie the headset output jack as . the second stage is to obtain an digital output of the input voice signal and connected to LED.

does the TMS320C6416 DSK provide a digital output?

any help would be greatly appreciated,

No. You can not get the digital output of audio from the DSK. The analog audio data goes to DSP through ADC(McBSP). There is no jack for digital output on DSK.
The hardware features of the C6416 DSK board include:

Embedded JTAG support via USB
A high-quality 24-bit stereo codec
Four 3.5-mm audio jacks for microphone, line in, speaker and line out
512 Kwords of Flash and 16 MB of SDRAM
An expansion port connector for plug-in modules
An on-board standard IEEE JTAG interface
A +5-V universal power supply

Hi Pubesh,

Thanks for your help and warm welcome Pubesh. my knowledge about selecting the best board is quit limited. could you help me to pick the right kit for my project please?!!

the aim of my project is to modulate a voice signal by range of digital modulation schemes at the time and then send it vie light(LED). on the other side, the modulated signal fed into light detector then to a receiver board.

can TMS320C6416 DSK do that operation?

many thanks, the webs you sent are one chip but i am looking for a DSK which takes vice though Mic jacks and then the board allows me to modify the signal by some channel coding and then use it in digital representation.

analog input >>>>>ADC>>>>>DSP>>>>>>Digital output

could you guide be to which board i can buy please,
