AM1808 Power-On Sequence

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM1808

For the AM1808 Power-On Sequence:

 - The device should be powered-on in the order described in the datasheet.

 - There is no specific required voltage ramp rate for any of the supplies as long as the LVCMOS supplies operated at 3.3V (DVDD3318_A, DVDD3318_B, or DVDD3318_C) never exceed the STATIC 1.8V supplies by more than 2 volts.

If the power supplies reach their nominal values in the order described in the datasheet, can the power supplies be powered-on at the same time?

Best regards,

Daisuke

  • HI Daisuke,

There is no exact timing spec for the power up sequence .Any realistic delay should be fine between the rails, instead of powering up all the rails together.

Please refer the below E2E thread

  • Hi Antony,

    Thank you for your reply.

It became clear that the powering up all the rails together is not allowed.

Paul said: "Basically, we need the 1.2 ramped up to the nominal level before you start ramping up 1.8V."

Tommy said: "The datasheet sequence assumes that each supply group reaches the target voltage before the next supply is powered up in the order specified."

    Best regards,

    Daisuke
