You should be able to order your (free) copy via link at bottom of http://www.ti.com/dummiesbook - I know that for example some people in China, Taiwan have already received their copies.

I couldn't continue the steps for ordering this book. Do you know whether the limitation was put for some countries?

Hmm...I'll ask our MarCom people - I just tried it & the link is fine (I'm in US though)

We're currently working to ensure the book is available at all WW regional distribution outlets. We're also going to send a large number of books to the TI WW regional sales offices.

I just tried the site from home, and it seems to be working for me; to be honest, I would not expect any issues in the US.  Give it another try and if you still cannot access the link, e-mail us your request via www.ti.com/support and someone should be able to help you.

Hi! I've also tried to order it from Indonesia -- guess it is too far for sending the book!

Why don't TI try to prepare the electronics-copy as well? (I don't mind if I have to pay)

I think I ordered the book correctly, but I havent recieved any type of email conformation. Is there a way to check and make sure my order was done correctly?

I do not believe you are supposed to get a confirmation email, I did some searching through my email and I never received a confirmation email for the book I ordered (though this was back when the book was first released). Unfortunately I do not know of a way to verify the order, but as long as your addresss is correct in your profile and you got to the final page of the order mechanism than you should get your book in the mail in a few weeks.

It would be nice if the book was available in electronic form for example as a pdf file.

This is something that has come up in the past, unfortunately I understand that it is not possible with the license agreement with the publisher, so the best we can do is ship out the paper copies.

Just a follow up on this, when I tested out the ordering system back on May 28th and I did not get a confirmation email the order actually went through it seems, as I just received a copy of the book today, so it seems there is no email involved in the ordering, and that the books are coming fairly quickly. Mine was shipped via USPS first class, though since it is coming from Ft Worth and I am in Dallas it got here rather quickly, so it is possible that it may be a couple extra days depending on where you are located. Note that this only really applies to the US, I am not sure how the distribution is handled in other countries (though I suspect the same lack of email).

I  live  in Seoul, South Korea. I  ordered  the  book  some  2  months  back. I  am yet  to  receive  the  book. The order was  correct and  also  the  address.

The page is still opening on my end, perhaps it is being blocked on your internet connection somehow? You may want to contact your local product information center to see if they can help out with ordering the book http://support.ti.com.

You can also contact literature support to order the book directly.  They would need your name, shipping address and phone number.  E-mail directly at lit-support@list.ti.com - WW Fulfillment Literature Support (May contain non-TIers) with your request.

You can ask for tracking at the same e-mail the day after the order is placed.  All orders go out the following day and wouldn't be available until then. 

 I ordered for it online 2 weeks back and yet to get it
