Problem with the TI-Codecs on OMAP3EVM-Board

Hello,

I'm working with the "DVSDK_3_00_00_29" and the "SDK_1_0_2". My Hardware is the OMAP3EVM-Board and I'm using the original TI decode demo with the original video "davicieffect_ntsc_1.m4v" and "davicieffect_ntsc_1.264".
While playing the video the whole time you can see a few vertical and horizontal "stripes" on the lcd (see the attached pictures).

I think there is a problem with the TI codec. I talked about this topic whith TI a few times since December 2008 and according to TI the problem should be solved with the new "DVSDK_3_00_00_36" and the new "PSP-SDK-02.01.01.08". I tried it out but unfortunately the stripes are still there.

Has anyone seen this stripes too? Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Hi Tino,

The problem was not related to the codecs but to some settings in the resizer parameters that were causing the artifacts that you posted in your images. The latest DVSDK release (http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_sb/targetcontent/dvsdk/DVSDK_3_00/latest/index_FDS.html) takes care of it.

Hi Mauricio,

Now I had the time to test the newest version of the TI DVSDK (3_00_01_42). You are right - the problem is gone. There are no more stripes in the video.
