Can I get C6670 PG 2.0 Boot ROM Source Code?

Hi Champs,

I found a web site below where I can get C6670 PG 1.0 Boot ROM

o RBL 1_0_C6670 Product Download Page
    (http://software-dl.ti.com/sdoemb/sdoemb_public_sw/rbl/1_0_C6670/index_FDS.html)

But I'd like to get the latest c6670 pg2.0 boot rom source code.
So, could you please let me know the site I can get the code?

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Best regards,

  • J-breeze,

We haven`t posted the PG 2.0 Boot ROM code on the wiki but we do plan to add this to the wiki soon. The major update from Boot perspective for C6670 was the use of the new PLL initialization sequence. I might be able to provide you the required file son the wiki if you let me know what you are looking for.

  • Hi Rahul,

    Thank you for your email.

So, I'd like to ask you about the latest boot rom code and its boot modes.

As you mentioned in your previous post, the PG2.0 RBL uses the new PLL initialization sequence.
So, can all boot modes boot from ROM directly, not via IBL?

  • HI j-breeze,

Yes, you should be able to boot all boot modes from the RBL, if you your boot setup can use the default values defined in the parameter table for your boot mode. The EVM design still has the FPGA re-direct to the I2C so you would need the IBL but on custom boards, you can have the boot setup directly from the RBL.
