GPMC on TDMXICE3359

Hello,

i have a question about the GPMC on the J12 host expansion connector.

On the TMDXICE3359 Rev1.0B the U9 is not populated, does this mean the GPMC Pins on J12 are not connected, or are they connected directly to the GPMC signals on the AM3359?

The Wiki (http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/AM335x_Industrial_Communication_Engine_%28ICE%29_EVM_HW_User_Guide#Board_Expansion_Connectors) is a bit unclear for me.

Hi Carsten,

On J12 the pins marked as EXT_xx (described as GPMC port) are actually the inputs of the second GPMC port of the dual port SRAM U9, CY7C024AV/025AV/026AV. They are not connected to AM3359 device.

If U9 is not populated these pins are NOT physically connected to anything except some pullup resistors on several pins.

Hi Carsten,

U9 is a dual-port SRAM. First port is connected to AM335X GPMC interface. J12 exports the second SRAM port. So there is no direct connection of GPMC to J12. Hi Biser,

as GPMC is not usable on TMDXICE3359, is it available on TMDSICE3359?

(i guess yes but i'm not sure)

Yes, it is exported on J4 (GPMC_CS2). There is also an onboard NOR flash on GPMC_CS0.
