VDDS_SDI and VSS_SDI?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAP3530

On the Beagle Board, the CBB package pins AE27 and AA26 are labeled "VDDS_SDI" and "VSS_SDI" respectively and bypassed with a capacitor. In the OMAP3530 datasheet, these pins are lumped with all the other VDDS and VSS pins. There appear to be several similar cases where  Beagle Board schematics appear to be using more information than appears in the datasheet. What's going on?

  • Hello Ted,

    The Datasheet is correct.

SDI is not supported on the OMAP35x.  The symbol that was used on the Beagle Board may have been done before we were completely through with the Data Manual.  Some of the signals that are different are probably intended for internal test.  If you would like to let me know the other differences I would be happy to look at them.
