The problem for DDR3 test

There is a prolem for DDR3 test,

by the way,my english is poor,I thank you for your continued patience and support and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

The detail operations are as follow.

1 Launched Selected Configuration

2 Click Texas Instruments XDS100V2 USB Emulator_0/CortexA8 and Connect Target

3 Memory Browser, after Inputing 0x80000000,Click GO

4 in Console,There haveerrror message: CortxA8: Trouble Reading Memory Block at 0x80000000 on Page 0 of Length 0x8c: (Error -2030 @ 0x0) Internal error: Access to unknown or invalid register was requested. Restart the application. If error persists, please report the error. (Emulation package 5.0.872.0)

5 But I selected Scritpts->AM335x DDR Tests->DDR_DataTransferCheck, It was OK, Then input 0x80002120 ,Click GO,above error message did not show.

Hi Qin,

If this is a custom board, there is a DDR3 tuning procedure that must be done first, to establish the DDR parameters. Here are the links:

It was all OK above.

even if it was ok by "AM335x DDR Tests->DDR_DataTransferCheck".

Hi Biser

I descibe detail operations as below.

1 I passed AM335x_EMIF_Configuration_tips,AM335x_DDR_PHY_register_configuration_for_DDR3,and Sitara_Linux_Training:_Tuning_the_DDR3_Timings_on_BeagleBoneBlack

2 I replaced those values with optimum values got by after running DDR3_slave_ratio_search_auto_AM335.out

3 I Launched Selected Configuration

4 Click Texas Instruments XDS100V2 USB Emulator_0/CortexA8 and Connect Targe

5 Memory Browser, after Inputing 0x80000000,Click GO, the error message showed

6 I selected Scritpts->AM335x DDR Tests->DDR_DataTransferCheck, It was OK

7 Input 0x80000000 ,Click GO,It was OK and above error message did not show.

8 Input 0x80000120 ,Click GO,It was OK and above error message did not show.

9 in the memory,Changeed A5A5A5A5 to A5A5A5A6,It was OK.

So there was just once with above error messsage at first.

I don't know if it's wrong,has it do not matter?

I guess that the error appears initially because the DDR interface is not initialized yet. Can you boot Linux successfully?

Hi Biser

I have not success on booting linux.

I selected UART boot mode,but I can not get CCCC on by serial pot terminal.

I'm finding the problem.

By the way,I'm using my custom target board.
