OMAP-L137 eMMC and eSD support.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAP-L137

The OMAP-L137 includes an MMCSD controller which is compliant with:
MMC V3.31,
Secure Digital Part 1 Physical Layer Specification V1.1
Secure Digital Input Output (SDIO) V2.0 specifications.

I wonder if trying to interface OMAP-L137 to:

eMMC devices (covered from 4.1 standard and later),

embedded SD devices (covered for 2.0 standard and later)

some hardware incompatibilities can arise.
Of course I do not pretend that the more sofisticated issues are hw supported.

Which is the Linux o.s. software support for such devices (with reference to 00_20_00_07 PSP) ?
Of course I do not pretend that the more sofisticated issues are sw supported.

For instance i got notice that in order to support SDHC devices, a patch must be submitted to Linux PSP MMC/SD drivers.

Will additional OMAP-L137 PSPs made available, covering additional (e)MMC/(e)SD support ?

Thanks to everyone giving me some insights in this question.

Misha.
