I am using a Mistral OMAP3530 EVM board and have configured McBSP devices 1 and 2 to read external data at a sampling rate of 46.8KHz. Both devices are configured to DMA on rx threshold = 0x40.
McBSP device 2 runs OK but device 1 occasionally gives overflow errors i.e. DMA not emptying RX buffer quickly enough. I have run them separately and still get the same result.
Does the Audio buffer integrated with McBSP device 2 make a lot of difference? Should I use another device e.g. 3 that also supports an Audio buffer?
