pinmux question about mmc1

I have a question about the pinmux for mmc1 (use for BBB)

In the TI utility there is for example this possibility : mmc1_dat0_mux2 under MODE1 on ball U7 (first line on the sheet). Am I correct that this pin has to be programmed as mode 1 in the corresponding pinmux register , being GPMC_AD0) . If so (or not) , then wat does this mux2 mean ??? Is there some other register to be programmed that represents this mux2 value ? What exactly is this mux2 ?

Hi Ronnie,

The pins and their modes are described in the AM335X Datasheet, Rev. F, Table 2-7. In the pinmux tool there are predefined I/O sets for each peripheral. See http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Pin_Mux_Utility_for_ARM_MPU_Processors for details. Only the predefined sets should be used on a board design. On your concrete question, the "_mux2" suffix here simply designates one of these predefines sets.
