thanks.

  • Your uImage is built for the wrong load address. It should be 0xc0008000 but you have built it for 0x80008000. This would have been caught if your ran init.sh script. Refer DVR RDK release documentation for bootargs and other details for 2G build.

  • hi, brady, thanks for your reply.

i only find DVRRDK_04.00.00.03\DM81xx_DVR_RDK_Install_Guide.pdf, where is the related document?

and i do the follow command but kernel halt:

    mkimage -A arm -O linux -T kernel -C none -a 0xc0008000 -e 0xc0008000 -n 'Linux-2.6.37' -d arch/arm/boot/zImage uImage

    expect your reply.

    best wish.

  • the bootargs i change to mem=512M but vpss firmware load crash the same.

  • Load Address: 80008000

    Entry Point: 80008000

Above logs during kernel boot indicates you have not built the kernel for the correct base address. You should use mem=512M. ANy other setting is invalid. Also ensure vmalloc=476M is set in the kernel bootargs. Read the documentation that is part of the release for correct bootargs for 2G build.

  • hi, badri, the probelm fix now.

    my bootargs is: setenv bootargs  'rootdelay=3 console=ttyO2,115200n8 rootwait rw mem=512M notifyk.vpssm3_sva=0xbfb00000 vram=20M vmalloc=476M root=/dev/nfs rw......

    and 16 channel 1080p decode success(10fps),

    thank you!
