OMAP-L137 software support status?

The roadmap for software support deliverables listed on ti.com does not seem to have been updated since last year and questions about the current status keep getting referred to that roadmap. Can someone report the actual current status of software support for the tool chain and LINUX and MontaVista 5 tool chain? We want to know if the L317 is "ready for primetime" for LINUX based product development.

We are currently in the beta version of the software tools:

The GA version is now predicted to end of April or May.

What does “GA” mean?

Even the still to come GA versions are listed as “”DSK limited Code Composer Studio 3.3x” and “Demo Version of MontaVista Pro 5.0”, so I take it could be quite a while before these are full fledged operational releases?

GA means general availability. It means the software package is complete.

About "DSK limited Code Composer Studio 3.3x", the Starter Kit comes with a special version of Code Composer Studio that only works for the specific Starter kit board. The full version of CCS that can work with any board needs to be purchased separately:

The name Demo in “Demo Version of MontaVista Pro 5.0” can be confusing, you can ship a product with the MV distribution included in the SDK free if charge.
