can't write to EHRPWM_HRCNFG register of PWM module

Hi,

i am using the latest version of Starterware for AM335x and try to explore the high resolution capability of my beaglebone black. Normal PWM is perfectly working but i can't write to EHRPWM_HRCNFG register. Can anyone tell me what's wrong?

Hi, I've experienced the same problem indicated by Herbert Herzog. I'm able to fully manage the PWM registers (SOC_EPWM_2_REGS base address unit) but there is no way to modify the register located at EHRPWM_HRCNFG offset. So, the high resolution mode is not working. How can I fix it? Or, maybe, is it a silicon bug related to am335x family?

Hi,

The offset for EHRPWM_HRCNFG register is incorrect in the StarterWare header file and the AM335x TRM (rev J and earlier). This register should be at offset 0xC0 (not 0x40).

This will be corrected in the next AM335x TRM version.

OK, thank you, I tested the set and read commands with the new offset and it works!

Then I checked the time delay with an oscilloscope and it works too.
