Is hardware decoder enabled for Motion JPEG support on OMAP4460

Hi,

We have OMAP4460 processor board and recently upgraded to jelly bean followed the procedure from the link http://www.variwiki.com/index.php?title=4AJ2.2_VAR-SOM-OM44_Release_Notes.

Query is :

We want use hardware decoder for Motion JPEG decoding.

We are using MX player, which supports S/W and H/W. We are able to play mjpeg video with S/W option. When we choose H/W option, it through error "unsupported video format" on terminal output and "Can't play video" on HDMI display.

Please let us know if you are looking for any specific details.

Hi Anita,

Are you sure your ducati is the latest.

Try using later version from http://omappedia.org/wiki/Android:_Working_with_pre-built_binaries . I remember there were versions that didnt had m-jpeg support.

I checked, ducati binaries are latest one.

We are using :

Hardware platforms: Variscite VAR-SOM-OM4460

Android: Android JellyBean 4.1.2

I checked from http://omappedia.org/wiki/Android:_Working_with_pre-built_binaries. Found after 4AJ.2.2 release, supported hardware is TI OMAP4 4470 ES1.0 HS Blaze Tablet 2.

Can you suggest a suitable release to test MJPEG encoding/decoding for OMAP4460 hardware.

Hi Anita,

Could you possibly try another player app that supports H/W acceleration? If you are using the latest ducati image m-jpeg must be supported
