Curious, if I expose the the OMAP SD slot in a product to sell and use SDIO 4-bit mode, do I have to pay the SD License? Or did TI already covered/paied this when they manufactured the SD Host part in the OMAP?

The only suggestion I have for this at the moment (though I am still looking into this) would be to contact the SD Association to see if they can clarify how their licensing/royalties for SD/SDIO host adapters work. Though I am no lawyer, my understanding is that if you have a SD/SDIO host adapter that you need to pay the license fee (this does not apply to a MMC host adapter), though as you point out I am not sure if this applies to TI as the manufacturer of the silicon or to you as the manufacturer of the board/product, or perhaps to both.
