OpenGL ES Libraries for OMAP Zoom Dev Kit (OMAP3430)

Hi,

I've been trying to contact TI about 5 times in the last two weeks now to give me access to the OpenGL ES binaries which are needed for rendering on the OmapZoom platform, but unfortunately they are not very responsive. Can anybody help me to get these libraries somehow else? I'm tired of waiting for them....

Regards

Clemens

  • Currently the only way to get access to the graphics SDK is to register an OMAP3 EVM board at www.ti.com/omapregistration and than proceed to download the SDK from there. If you do not have a EVM than I am not sure there is currently a path to obtain the software, you may want to contact your local TI sales office.

  • OMAP Zoom platform has a different method of getting the libraries.  I sent an e-mail to a person over there and asked him to look into this.

  • Hi,

that's what I thought too and what I was told, but just minutes ago I stumbled across this link

    https://www-a.ti.com/extranet/cm/product/wtbugaming/wtbuext/general/homepage.shtml

where one might be able to download the SDK - however I just found it by chance, so there should really be a better way for developers to find what they are searching for. Searching through the available extranets didn't came into my mind before, so if I would probably wait for some more time to get information about access which I already have and I don't know of... so stupid...

    Thanks anyway

  • Hi Clemens,

We have never received any request for Graphics SDK. if you want one for TI platforms you can send a request at the OMAP Gaming site,

    http://focus.ti.com/general/docs/wtbu/wtbugencontent.tsp?templateId=6123&navigationId=12719&contentId=27458

So that we will create a TI extranet login for you and you can access the required SDK.

  • Hi,

I sent about 5 or 6 mails to the corresponding email address until I noticed that I already had access to the SDK. The problem I was arguing about is that there is some lack of information what to do after sending the request email. I assumed someone to conact me about the account data for a non-public ftp share or something like that. But instead the access to a special download page was granted quietly via a somewhat not really easy-to-find link in the extranets section of the TI account page. I did not know about that, and I would have waited for another 2 weeks or so until I would have probably given up...
