EDMA3 driver and RMAN works together

Hi, I have a question

I want to use EDMA3 Driver and RMAN for encoder and decoder on C6678 DSP.
The EDMA3 driver uses edma instance #0.
The RMAN configured to use edma instance #1 or #2.

I have added META.createRMObj = false; setting to app.cfg and initialize RMAN after EDMA3 driver.

A kernel crash occurs when one of decoder is initializing.
As I understand, the RMAN uses own functions for creating semaphores, instead of my realization for EDMA3 driver.

So can I use EDMA3 driver and RMAN together?

Hi Serhii,

You mentioned encoder and decoder. Are they video codecs? Can you please provide more details about your application?

Does "EDMA3 driver" in your post mean EDMA3LLD DRV? EDMA3LLD contains DRV and RM modules, and Framework Components internally uses EDMA3LLD RM for resource management. What is the motivation to use "EDMA3 driver" for EDMA instance 0 and FC-RMAN for the other two EDMA instances in your application?
