about InstallGuide_Linux_OMAPL1xx.pdf

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAP-L137

The documents(InstallGuide_Linux_OMAPL1xx.pdf and others) are from dsplink_1_61/doc.I want to know how to download the required Montavista packages(pro-host-arm_v5t_le-0702774.iso,lsps-arm_v5t_le_uclibc-0702774.iso,devrocket-0702794.iso,src-pro-0702774.iso,docs-pro-0702774.iso) which InstallGuide_Linux_OMAPL1xx.pdf mention .

  • These iso files are available thru MontaVista's MVZone, but access to this site requires MV License which  has additional costs.. I have not seen the docs you are suggeting above myself, but we are looking into this; if these are TI docs, we may need to update them to add clarity.  Thank you for your patience.

  • ok, we have received confirmation from our internal teams that these iso files are indded only available via MVZone.  We will add clarification of this in future releases of the docs.  That said, we do include a demostration version of the mv distro which can be used to build the LSP... so access to mvzone is not a must have to get started with our EVM.

  • As Juan mentioned, these iso files are from MontaVista's website and are part of the MontaVista Pro 5.0 release which requires a license for access.

You should be able to get a demonstration release of the tools from the https://www-a.ti.com/downloads/sds_support/targetcontent/psp/index.html PSP Update Advisor link.  Also, a copy should have been provided with the OMAP-L1xx EVM.

  • I want set up dsplink_1.61 on OMAP-L137 and how to download these iso files(pro-host-arm_v5t_le-0702774.iso,lsps-arm_v5t_le_uclibc-0702774.iso,devrocket-0702794.iso,src-pro-0702774.iso,docs-pro-0702774.iso).

  • Hi,

You do not need to download these isos and install MV Pro 5 if a Montavista Linux 5.0 installation is already available on your setup. This installation contains tool-chain etc. required for building the LSP and DSPLink. A mvzone account is required to download these ISOs. However, if you do not have an mvzone account, evaluation version of MV Pro 5.0 can also be used, which is available at the location Brandon pointed out.

There is no special requirement for DSPLink & MV Pro 5. Whatever you need for building LSP is the same as what you need for building DSPLink. There is no extra requirement.

We will update this information in future DSPLink Install Guides.
