AM335x Starter Kit running Sys/Bios

Hi,

I have been looking at the AM335x Starter Kit and was thinking of using it as an evaluation board for my desired target application. Although I was wondering how hard is it to get SYS/BIOS running on it? For my Application I really need  two usb ports. for this being the only  Dev board that has two usb ports  for the AM335X,this would probably best eval board for my target application. From my understanding there is a lot of support for using this devboard in linux, but not for SYS/BIOS. If possible, what kind of steps would I need to get a  basic example working on this board? Would I need to purchase a JTAG Programer to do this? Is it possible I can integrate Sitaraware with SYS/BIOS?

So many questions, so many unknowns :)

Thanks,

Michael

  • Getting SYS/BIOS running on this board should be easy.  But,  think you are best off using Linux for your development if you need OS and USB support.  It should be possible to modify the SitaraWare USB code to work with SYS/BIOS, but this is not currently supported.  You can do it on your own if you like.
