Hi,

I have Mistral's OMAP 3530 board.Though I read all related posts in this forum for basic CCS setup, I still need clarifications in it.

1. CCS3.3 SR11 is needed to use with either SDXDS510USb or Blackhawk emulator.Am I right?

2.Third party IDE is needed for debugging the ARM.If so, then different emulator is required.How can I debug ARM and DSP simaltaneously?

3.What kind of BSP's and PSP's we need to bring up the board?

4.What is the CCS setup configuration?

Someone please give pointers.

Rama,

1) You are correct, CCS 3.3 SR11 and XDS510USB or Blakhawk should work.

2) Please see the following forum post relating to tools: https://community.ti.com/forums/p/321/896.aspx#896 . FYI, for many ARM IDEs you simply use ethernet or serial port for debugging (this is the case for MontaVista DevRocket). However, your best bet foor this type of information is to go to each vendor's homepage and see what they require with their IDE. Also, Green Hills MULTI is a good choice if you want to do simultaneous ARM and DSP debugging via sngle IDE (from the feedback we have heard).

3) Everything you need should be available thru our omap software update site (www.ti.com/omapsoftwareupdates).

4) When you isntall the latest driver updates for the corresponding JTAG (e.g. for XDS510USB, go to http://support.spectrumdigital.com/index.html?osCsid=c5bdaeef02a378ffa248f2bff7a81c3a ), I believe you will get an OMAP EVM CCS configuration.
