C6747 standby io33 power consumption

We are in the process of designing in a floating point DSP into our mobile radio handset. C6747 looks very promising except for the high static/standby power consumption. Is the 50mW IO33 power consumption stated a worst case or a typical number? If worst case, what is a typical number? Since there is no I/O toggling in these states, I think this number is very high to be leakage only.

  • Hi Rune Knutsen,

The data presented in the Wiki link are derived from strong units, representative of devices at the maximum end of power consumption from production units. So, no production units will have average power consumption that exceeds this value. So, it’s the worst case value for sand by power consumption the typical power consumption may vary depends upon the board design and other parameter.

We took the benchmark from strong units for worst case power consumption analysis.

    Regards

    Antony
