About menu transparent

Hi, I'm using the dm8165 GRPX to display menu on the video preview window.

The menu is designed to be no transparent. When I enable the Scalar of GRPX, however, the menu is

a little transparent ( RGB format of menu is RGB888, global alpha value is 0xff ).

If disable the Scalar of GRPX, it runs well.

Can any one help me find the cause of problems?

Hi,

Kindly change the variables 'transen' and 'transcolor' in TIFB_SET_PARAMS ioctl to control the GUI transperancy.

  regp.transen = TI81XXFB_FEATURE_ENABLE; 
  regp.transcolor = key_rgb888;
  regp.transtype= TI81XXFB_TRANSP_LSBMASK_NO;

On doing scaling the pixel values will change and if you had created original menu with say 0x80 for transparent pixel , after scaling it will no longer be 0x80 but would have got modified and you will see the menu after scaling. Is it possible to use ARGB format or CLUT based transparency in your application instead of color key ?
