Please let me confirm the following question.

Can C674x or OMAP-L13x support the Serial NOR Flash boot?

According to the datasheet, C674x can support SPI boot.

So, I think that those devices can support SPI NOR flash boot.

I have already checked the document which you were wrote. And this documents was said the same description as C674x bootloader.

I would like to know whether C674x/OMAP-L13x can boot from Serial NOR.

Yes, C6748/OMAP-L138 can boot from NOR flash.

But, C6747/OMAP-L137 can boot only from SPI/NAND and not NOR.

The NOR boot configuration for C6748/OMAP-L138 is given in the document referred by Prabhakar Lad.

Please let me confirm the following question just in case.

Can C6748 support the boot mode by both the parallel NOR( by using the EMIF) and the Serial NOR( by using the SPI)? i.e. This device can boot by either NOR.
Is my understanding correct?

I knew that this device can support NOR flash (EMIF) boot, however I do not know that this device can support serial NOR boot.

NOR Boot:
NOR (or parallel Flash) boot happens from a NOR Flash device connected to the external memory
interface (EMIFA) peripheral on EMA_CS[2].

Flash the AIS image:
For NAND, NOR, and SPI bootmodes, use the serial flasher utility to flash the image to the desired boot medium using the "-flash_noubl" option.
