Programming Examples and API descriptions

Hello,

I am currently going through the TI programming examples and doc and I think I understand most things however I cant seem to find something that describes when to use certain things. For example if I am using MSGQ_alloc when is it appropriate to call MSGQ_free? The examples are extensive but I cant seem to come across this information in any of the manuals.

I recommend you to look at the MSGQ Main API Call Sequence diagram in the linked presentation:

for better understanding usage of MSGQ_alloc and MSGQ_free macros.
