hi all .when i set the swms layout parameters,i found that

vdMosaicParam->winList[winId].start_X+1

vdMosaicParam->winList[winId].start_Y+1

above 2 operator result is different .

the startX change 1 pixel is different spacing with the startY change 1 pixcel

about the spacing of startX+1 is 8 pixel,the spacing of startY+1 is 1pixel

so why? and where can configure that?

Billy,

I think there will be a 16 or 32 byte limitation in the driver. This has to be modified in the M3 firmware.

Billy,

There are lot of ASSERTS or if/else checks where it tries to the pixel offsets are aligned to certain numbers. You'll need to modify the M3 source code for the same.

Startx has to be aligned to 16 to satisfy hw (VPDMA ) alignment restriction.This cannot be fixed by modifying m3 software.

I dont understand.I mentioned you cannot modify m3 software.This is hw restriction and nothing can be done

But there is a possibliity here. If you use scalar, then you can use the trimmer unit to crop from any pixel to any pixel. We've tried this for a customer before and its working perfectly fine.
