HI,

I am planning to develop a product using am335x processor and i am using beagle bone black as my reference board.So i will be posting my questions here.

1.Is the ok to use AM335x series for new product.I mean will this processor be available atleast for 5 years from now on.

2.Do ti offer any training or tutorials on developing WIN 7 embedded for AM335x.

Hi Vishnu,

1. Yes, this is a new processor and it will be definitely available.

2. Windows Embedded for AM335X is a third-party solution, developed by Adeneo Embedded (http://www.adeneo-embedded.com/). It's not directly supported by TI, but there is a dedicated e2e forum where you can post questions: http://e2e.ti.com/support/embedded/wince/default.aspx.

Thankyou very much.

3.My next question will be like.,i am using beagle bone black as my reference board and development board.i will be developing OS and application on this.Will this same OS and applications work if i downgrade my processor to AM3352. you can leave out 3D graphics acceleration.

The Os will be windows platform.

Yes, sure. If you keep the same pins for signalling, your AM3352 is the same speed grade and DDR memory is the same size and layout, then everything should function with no problem.

Vishnu, to elaborate more on question #2: As Biser said, Adeneo can provide training on WEC7. Regarding question 3 Biser.I will be keeping design of beagle bone black as such.i will only extend the COM ports and add and LCD display.

But i would like to clock down AM3352 to 300 or 600 Mhz to save my cost.So will i have to do changes in BSP for this?

Probably yes. I'm not a software expert, even less so on Windows, so I can't tell how much effort this will be.

1.TI BSP for AM335x

2.A good tutorial on how to modify BSP for my specific need...like beagle bone base

I have collected required softwares like visual studio and beagle bone black hardware.Any help will be appreciable

We already pointed out above that there is no TI developed WinCE software for the AM335X. This forum only supports the TI developed Linux EZSDK.
