OMAP35X EVM - LAN911X driver won't work - "Invalid Ethernet chip ID (0x0)!"

I'm just starting out with the OMAP35XEVM.

I'm trying to boot a Windows CE image from SD w/ KITL. When I try to configure the Ethernet chip, it says there is an "Invalid Ethernet chip ID (0x0)!".

I suspect it's not actually reading from the LAN9220 chip correctly...

Here is the serial output I get:
