VC5502 PLL lock problem

Hi,

We encountered a production problem related to DSP VC5502 PLL lock. On some board, 1 out of 1000 so far, the PLL lock bit never set after the firmware change frequency. Any idea?

How long has this product been in production? Has this problem happened before? Where you purchase the devices from? Is there any board changes or design changes? Have you contact local TI FAE?

Hi Steve,

The product has been in production for more than half year and it the first returned device confirmed having this issue. We purchase DSP from Arrow and there is no change on the board.

Yiyuan,

Have you tried taking a failing device and mounted it on a known good board? This often provides valuable information.

Please fill out attached form and return 2 failing units with a hard copy of form to Julie Zak (address in the form). Also e-mail an electronic copy of the form to Julie Zak.
