Porting Ubuntu on OMAP4470

Hello Experts,

I am trying to load GLP 1.6.8 Linux release on my Jorjin Raccoon board with OMAP4470.
I refereed to this link http://e2e.ti.com/support/omap/f/849/t/304821.aspx to obtain more information about GLP 1.6.8.

I prepared a boot SD card with GLP release. However, there is a problem by booting, see the log:

"Terminal ready

U-Boot SPL 2012.04.01 (Jul 19 2012 - 17:37:11)
OMAP4460 ES1.0
Bypassing DPLL failed 4a008180
SDRAM: identified size not same as expected size identified: 0 expected: 40000000" - booting hangs in this point and my board doesn't work.

I think that there are misalignments in U-boot files for Jorjin Raccoon board.

Could you provide me information, what changes are necessary to apply in GLP 1.6.8 to be loaded on Raccoon board?

Is there some one who is tried to run this GLP on blaze board?

I got a feedback from Jorjin (producer of Raccoon board), they confirmed that there is not (and not support) Linux release for Raccoon board.

    Hi Tanev,

    there are differences between the different versions of Jorjin OMAP4 modules, depending on the installed OMAP4 CPU and memory.

    Which version of the module is installed on your Raccoon board? It should be a ATFG0FAJS, ATFE08AJS or ATFN0xAJS.

    The several versions need a patch for u-boot. Jorjin only ships this patch for Android 4.x (as far as I know).

    If you have the Android patch with the required information, are you able to change the files for Linux?

    We also have one Raccoon board - Jorjin ATFE08AJS-02 with OMAP4470.

    I know that Jorjin supports only Android 4.x for Raccoon board.  Unfortunately, I don't have the patch for u-boot or information about there SW release. Therefore, we cannot use this board.

    However, I am able to apply the mentioned patch in the Linux release GLP1.6.8 and will try to run it on Raccoon board.

    Would it be possible to send me the necessary patch for Android?

    and

    Could you point me where I can get more information about SW releases for Raccoon board?

    you can find the patch for OMAP4460/70 modules with Elpida memory here:
