Hi all,

Hopefully a simple question!!

Could someone please explain if it is possible to retrieve the characteristics (HTotal, HActive, VTotal, VActive, HFreq, VFreq etc etc) from the VFCC for inputs connected to the VIPs?

For my application, I would like to report these numbers back to the user before that decide whether scaling/cropping is required before encoding the input.

    Danny,

    From a high-level its difficult to get these values since these parameters are driven from the external signal, and I don't think the VIP parser supports calculating the parameters. You might have to use an external FPGA for this.
