Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LV244A
Does anyone know why the ICE rev2 board uses a SYSBOOT buffer (SN74LV244A)? On the ICE rev1 board, the boot configuration was not buffered and were tied directly to the signals. I understand that the buffer is disabled once the application starts and essentially isolates the boot configuration hardware from the system. Could a TI employee elaborate on why the buffer was introduced on the rev2 board? Was there any concern that the pull-up and pull-down resistors would affect signal quality?
