My x-loader compiles fine, I get Output

But: whenever I add a printf (currently I am Debugging the nand-Flash Driver to add "on die ecc") I just get

"þ60" after powerup and the Sitara stalls. Strange that there are already printfs in the code, but only be called in error case - thats why it seems to work. Source for xloader is

Hi Arno,

Please check the size of your x-loader and whether it will fit into the processor internal RAM.

Size is 0x4330 or 0x4418 - what is the Limit?

It is totally strange. At the beginning in board.c there is a Loop:

... Serial_init, print_info, nand_init ....

I can add more print_info or extend the print_info, but after nand_init (or even in first line of nand_info) I can't print.

Later in start_armboot there is a printf("Bootiing from nand") which is working again. It is a miracle to me ...

64kB, so that's not it. I think that it may be that not everything is initialized yet when you try to print and fail.

I could identify 2 issues:

- first: nand_init (where I placed a printf) is not just called in start_armboot(), but also in s_init() - and I guess this is called before initialising Serial port -> crash

- second: It makes a difference wether I flash the xloader from a running System (xloader+uboot) or after loading the same uboot with TI's Flash tool (if uboot isn't work anymore). I guess this is due to different ECC handling.
