Problems with printf() in x-loader

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3703

My x-loader compiles fine, I get Output

Texas Instruments X-Loader 1.51 (Dec 20 2013 - 07:46:23)
Booting from nand . . .
Starting OS Bootloader...

But: whenever I add a printf (currently I am Debugging the nand-Flash Driver to add "on die ecc") I just get

"þ60" after powerup and the Sitara stalls. Strange that there are already printfs in the code, but only be called in error case - thats why it seems to work. Source for xloader is

My board is a custom board with an Am3703.
