emac with the second dsp on the tms320c6474

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C6474

i am working for 3 years on the tms320c6474 with the first dsp and it's working perfectly ,in the last week we decided to use the second dsp  but when i try to run the Emac_local_loopback_example (example to run the emac) on this dsp it won't work  ,the example run perfectly on the first dsp .

my main goal is to boot the two dsp through the emac  ,today i can boot only the first dsp .

i am using the ccs 3.3

thanks

  • Are you using the same out file to do the EMAC loopback test and the test setup of two DSP chips (EVMs) are the same? Looks like the second DSP chip is faulty.

  • Hey,

    I work with Majid.

We managed to use EMAC through DSP 2 but the thing is when making both DSPs use EMAC simultaneously, i.e. both DSP try to send Ethernet packets on the same time, seems like they can't succeed because of i suppose data write collision. Shouldn't this case be taken care of automatically?
