DK-TM4C129x LCD Example Program

Hey guys,

Is there an example program for TI-RTOS that utilizes the LCD touch screen on the 129x development kit? I have been unable to find anything and from page 24 of the TI-RTOS getting started guide it looked like one didn't exist for this development kit (or even the TM4C123 kit).

Hi Sean,

We don't have an LCD example (demo) for the 129x dev kit yet. We do have one for the DK_TM4C123G board though (grlibdemo_TivaTM4C123GH6PGE). You can use it as a model. Take a look at the readme.txt file for a description of the example.

The one thing to remember when using grlib with TI-RTOS is to only have 1 task interface to the LCD. (We are looking into making grlib more TI-RTOS friendly (e.g. mutli-threaded), but have no firm date or even commitment that we'll do it).

Like Sean i also need some code exemples to use grlib with TI-RTOS, anny plans to release an online workshop for TI-RTOS on TM4C129 dev kit?

The current TI-RTOS Kernel workshop is online (and has videos posted) - but only covers the kernel - and does have labs on the TM4C123 LaunchPad. I have not received my 129x board yet, but when that is available to me (Feb-ish), I will move over to that platform most likely. I am also working on a "driver" workshop which should release in 2Q14 along with the updated kernel labs on the 129x LP.

I did NOT use the TI-RTOS SDK version of the driverlib - just the standard driverlib. I commented in the labs where conflicts occurred between SYS/BIOS and the driverlib code.

I believe the examples are in TivaWare. Look inside Resource Explorer in CCS. Under TivaWare, there is an examples directory.

Hello All,

Can any one help me out with some exampple of LCD? I have got development kit. I need to start with LCD Drivers and functions. I need to add few buttons and some edit boxes. Can anyone help me with initialization?

Hi Mitesh,

You are working in RTOS or only w/ TivaWare?

If u are on TI-RTOS there are some tick to call functions to process the widgets messages inside operating systems.
