Hello Mike,
MCSDK-HPC is built as an add-on on top of the fundational multicore software development kit (MCSDK). MCSDK-HPC, along with MCSDK, provides the complete environments to develop HPC (high performance coputing) applications on a cluster of TI keystone II devices.
Components packaged int the release will include:
OpenEM
OpenMP
OpenMPI
OpenCL
Framework components
FFTLIB
BLAS
MPI examples
OOB demos
We are targeting 1Q2014 for GA but it could be available earlier. If you are actively pursuing to develop HPC applications with TI Keystone Multicore Devices, please check with your local TI FAE to see if an earlier drop can be available before 1Q14. Thanks!
best regards,
David Zhou
I am working with CCSv5.5 with updated toolboxes using KeyStone II EVM target TCI6638K2K. I am attempting to run OpenMP examples and applications, however there seems to be no installed OMP support with MCSDK-BIOS v3.0.3.15.
I did find an earlier BIOS-MCSDK v2.1.2.6 that has OMP support (v1.1.3.2) but having trouble linking with missing OMP symbols when using "--openmp" advanced compiler option and RTSC OMP support selected. I am assuming this OMP version works with all the other current tool versions, is this the case? Does it have to be rebuilt?
Else please describe where to download/install the latest OMP support under CCS? This will be used on both Windows and Linux development hosts.
Noticed that the OpenMP component was also listed here under this forum topic. Is the reason OMP is not part of latest MCSDK-BIOS is because of pending release of MCSDK-HPC? Any updated news on release schedule or early evaluation?
Thanks in advance for any information.
Steve
