DM8168 ethernet smart bit issue

Hi all,

I used DM8168+BCM53823(Lan Switch) to do smart bit test. I verified two test paths to clarify that the smart bit issue  belonged with DM8168.

1. Only do smart bit test on BCM53823

    The test report was good that did not appear receiving packet over 100% state.

2. Do smart bit test with DM8168

    The test report appeared receiving packet over 100% issue. Please refer below screenshot of test report.

Did this result have any risk in network application? Just like ran ethernet offload、NVR streaming and so on.

    Hi OC,

    This looks to be fine. It is just that it has received few additional bytes than sent. It could be broadcast packets in the network. If you want to confirm, you can run the test in an isolated network and check the results.
