Hey Guys...new to TI family..I am using TMS320VC5502 DSP in our project. For this DSP, 16 bit flash device(S29GL128S90DHI020) is connected to the EMIF interface. EMIF CE1 is used to access flash device. D[15:0] data pins are used to interface with flash device. Also for D16 to D23 ( 8 signals) are connected as inputs. These signals are routed through buffer device ( LVC541A) before connecting to D16 to D23. This buffer device is controlled by EMIF CE2 signal. So as per my application , I have to interface with flash device as wel as need to read these signals.
I was reading parellel port mux explanation in the data manual but somehow this material is confusing. What is the paraell port mux mode ( based on the GPIO 6 pin status at reset) that i should use to access both flash as well as input signals. As i understand I should use FUL EMIF mode to access flash device but in this case how do I read input signals.
Is there anything called "memory mapped input expansion register"?
