C5532 and external ADC?

Hi,

I try to use C5532(with no ADC) and TLV320ADC3101(Audio ADC).

I wonder if the ADC can be used well with C5532.

 

Since I/F TLV320ADC3101 is I2S, I guess it will be linked C5532 via I2S without Issue.

Also on f/w side, do we need any special driver for it? Otherwise, I2S configurtion in DSP Bios is enough?

    Hi Devin,

    I cannot think of a reason why this TLV320ADC3101 would not work with the C5532 across the I2S bus.  C55x DSPs have been paired with TLV320 audio codecs for quite some time with the most recent combination taking place on the TMDX5535EZDSP.  This kit paired a C5535 DSP (same sub-family) with a TLV320AIC3204.

    As for drivers, those are covered under the CSL.
