connecting beaglebone to CC85XM RF audio board

Hello I already asked this in the RF audio forum, and they say it should work if mcasp is functioning. But They arent familiar with the BBB.

I'm about to receive the Purepath Wireless Dev kit.   I was wondering if it were possible to connect my beaglebone black direct to the CC85xxm reference board.  As the reference board can recieve I2S Would the  mcasp functionality on the BBB, allow me to do this?  I would also like to use the CC85xxm 48KHZ clock output and slave it to the BBB mcasp0_aclkx pin.  In doing so this would skip the codec portion of the dev kit and go straight to converting audio to RF while assuring low jitter. Theoretically should this work?

Likewise I had read of mcasp not being exposed on the BBB pins in the forums and dont understand what this means. Is it unusable?

Also I have read that there is a problem with the i2s as it relates to HDMI in that a leading edge pulse in the signal was actually supposed to be a trailing edge pulse and this caused undesired distortion. And this was a known bug. Has any work progressed in fixing this?

Thank You

Jay Steele
