C5505 ezDSP USB Development Tool additional inputs and outputs

I'm still relatively new to this product, but I've been having some success with it. The actual development tool only have an audio input and an audio output, but I need a couple digital inputs and outputs as well. Is there any way to get some? If so, how do I refer to them in the code?

  • Hi Greg,

Did you receive my email?  It discussed removing/rerouting the signals used for the codec but also keep in mind that you have multiple IO signals available at the card edge connector.  Check page 8 of the schematics below.

As for software, there is a demo package available here (http://support.spectrumdigital.com/boards/usbstk5505/revd/files/usbstk5505_BSL_RevD.zip) that includes Chip Support Library examples for GPIO usage.  It may not be specifically what you need/want (which pins are used, are they in or out) but it should be able to serve as a framework.

  • I didn't get your e-mail, but I think I found what I needed on my own. I'll take a look at what you posted as well. If there is any more information in the e-mail, could you please resend it?
