Ethernet link and PHY address issue

Hi there,

We have RMII interface using LAN8720A and MII interface using LAN8710A-EZK.

Both are working fine initially when the board is powered but it is not working when the LAN cable is removed and reconnect after 10 seconds. It's not responding anything even status leds also. We have to do reset the board or power reset to make it work. Interesting thing is that both LAN are working if we reconnect within 10 seconds.

Another problem is that the PHY address is changing in MII LAN8710A-EZK interface. We set PHY address 0 but while booting it shows 2 as PHY address.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Vishnu,

Please provide more details. Where are your PHY's connected? Do they have separate clocking circuits or a common clock is provided? If possible post your Ethernet schematic in PDF format.
